Valley Palms, San Jose, CA
Low Water Flow, Discolored Water, Mold, Unhappy
Tenants
Valley Palms is a 356
townhouse apartment complex located in the famous
Silicon Valley area of California.
The Problem:
With
a major overall upgrade slated for this income
producing property the owner was faced with a
real dilemma. Part of the overall upgrade program
included provision to re-pipe the buildings.
To re-pipe the buildings would mean massive tenant
disruption, loss of income and extraordinary
reconstruction costs. The owner, who previously
had ACE DuraFlo® restore the piping system
in a Los Angeles area complex, knew he had the
answer to the re-piping challenges he was facing
in San Jose. On the San Jose project, a consortium
headed by the Bank of America had to review and
approve all methods of reconstruction. Upon presentation
they approved the ACE DuraFlo® system - finding
it economical, less disruptive than a re-pipe
and a long-term solution.
The Solution:
The
ACE DuraFlo® system of in-place pipe
restoration. The project was completed ahead
of schedule with no loss of income from tenant
displacement. Water service was fully restored
providing for full flow and clean water for the
occupants.
